"Keep Britain Green: 2014!" Event 20th - 26th October 2014

Autumn is a beautiful and dramatic season in the UK.

We want our maiden event to have as much impact as the spectacular colours on show at this time of year.

The event will cover Wolverhampton, Walsall and Birmingham, but will also create a national initiative. "Keep Britain Green: 2014" will have the following aims :

1. To raise money for local school, community and biodiversity projects and equipment. All funds will be held and distributed by school PTAs. There will be no deductions or expenses. 100% of the money raised will go directly to "green" causes.

2. To bring business to the forefront of conservation in the UK, we will create "Team4Nature" partnerships with local AND national organisations, for this event, and as part of our future Moving Mountains Nature Networks. The event will also involve local and national "green" businesses, promoting their healthy and sustainable products.

3. Helping to create a new generation of nature lovers. A programme of fun and varied activities throughout the week will ignite a passion for nature, from toddlers to college students and sixth-formers! Sponsored sport events will serve to create a team spirit and embrace those with wider interests.

4. Increase membership (especially early years and youth) of wildlife charities and raise awareness of their important work within local communities.

5. Raise awareness of local reserves and green spaces acting as a catalyst for future school and community event programmes, connecting more people with nature.

6. Creation of a new national "Bright Future" fund, kick-started by this event, to be held jointly by the wildlife charities and PTAs.  The fund will support projects designed to nurture future generations that care for and conserve our beautiful world and it's wildlife.

We really do hope that you are ALL excited by this event. It offers a massive opportunity for those who are passionate about nature to work together and make a difference. The media WILL be involved  providing an opportunity to get a strong message out regarding the state of nature in the UK and the importance of preserving it for future generations. We want the total figure raised to demonstrate just how strong, people feel about the environment, and this will certainly help to move green issues towards the centre of British politics.

To get involved is simple! E-mail us (at: mmnnactionuk@gmail.com) as soon as possible, stating your area of interest in the event and we will add you to our mailing list. We look forward to hearing from you.

Together we really can make a difference!
